I live out in Portland, OR. My friends and I go and float down the Sandy River. There are a few places where it is very shallow, less than six inches. I'm not a little guy. I just lean back and the little tracking fins on the bottom are what scrape on the rocks. There is one under the front, and the rear of the kayak. Getting in without letting water in isn't fun. I finally managed to get it right, Recomendation, if you weigh about 180lbs plus, Sit down slowlly, and you'll not have to worry about getting water into the kayak. The base is very wide, so it is stable, but again, if some of your friends decide to shove you, lean into it and you won't roll out. So it is preaty much a raft that tracks really well. I pass up other rafters all the time, or paddlle circles around my friends. It is fast and very manuverable. Other plastic kayaks track a lot better and move faster, but for an inflatable not bad at all. It's a comfortable lazyboy to float or to explore any slow moving or still water. The kayak will bend with the water. The paddle flexes when you paddle hard. The paddle is three pieces, even if you you tighten it together, the paddle will twist the angle of the paddle. I recomend buying a different paddle.Get more detail about Sevylor Inflatable Sit-On-Top Kayak, 1-Person.
