I have a Trek 7.2FX, am 5' 9" and even have the stem flipped opposite of the OEM position so that I can be in a more aggressive position, and this still fits great. My 14 month old daughter, at 30" fits with plenty of room to spare for growing, and she loves it.
I also have a Burley Bee trailer, but she doesn't like it for too long of rides b/c of the separation. Now, she is happy to be along for the ride, is enjoys waving at people, pointing at things, and generally is pretty psyched to be right up there with me for the ride.
I also have SPD pedals, bar-ends, and this setup still works very well.
