The inside linings are cool too, but this particular style "Prom Pack" has a really annoying problem. When you set it down, it always tips forward and falls onto the front of the pack, so it will get dirty if you put it on the ground or floor. I don't know why this bothers me, but I find it hugely irritating. I constantly have to maneuver it to lean against something when I put it down so it doesn't tip over and spill the contents. And, since it always wants to tip over, it's really hard to get my books out. I feel like I'm always fighting with the stupid thing! IMO, it only holds about 3 big books. I can only fit 2 giant sized microbiology books, a 14" mac laptop, a thin notebook and plastic 3 pocket folder in the pack, so if you need to carry more, pick a different style-the cheetah pattern comes in other styles besides "Prom Pack". I found the pockets on this bag to be fairly standard, with the exception of the soft lined sunglasses pocket on the top, and the little pockets on the sides. I put keys, lip gloss, gum and other small stuff in them that I don't want to dig for. There's also a pocket that's lined for food, but it's only useful if you eat flat food, and I seriously doubt its insulating power. The kayak will bend with the water. The paddle flexes when you paddle hard. The paddle is three pieces, even if you you tighten it together, the paddle will twist the angle of the paddle. Casio says it takes approximately 20-30 minutes *after you take the watch off and set it down* for the case temperature to stabilize (and allow you to actually measure the temperature). Really we are talking around 45 minutes or more! Here are two sets of readings I took while attending a meeting. I took off the watch and set it on the table. This was a fair size classroom at UCLA Extension, no drafts, seemingly stable temperature. The temperatures were taken roughly every 5 minutes. Set 1: (25.1, 24.7, 24.4, 24.2, 24.1, 23.8, 23.7, 23.6, 23.5, 23.4, 23.4, 23.3, 23.4, 23.5). Set 2: (28.1, 27.9, 26.6, 25.7, 25.1, 24.6, 24.3, 24.1, 24.0, 23.9, 23.8, 23.7, 23.7). I took two more sets, but why engage in overkill repeating them here. This makes the temperature sensor virtually worthless IMHO.

The altimeter readings are horribly inconsistent. Driving west over the LA River on the 10: 65m; Driving back east: 50m. On the 10 where it crosses the 405 west: 5m. Going back east: 30m. I've measured a number of other locations and although there is some rough agreement (10 or 20m), there is really no reliable consistency. Altitude is at best a toy in this watch.

Those were the two features that interested me, and both are ultimately worthless. However, this watch is easier to read than my last G-Shock. The stopwatch is still there.
