I bought this 3lb weight based on the reviews and someone with similar height as me (5'4) and trying a co-workers hula hoop which was too heavy. After getting this one, I realized my co-worker must have an 8lb or 10lb (which was fine when my other 6ft male friend tried it, but hurt when I did). If I could go back, I'd get a 5lb for a little bit more of a toning workout. I think since I already have decent core strength and used to stomach workouts I can handle more weight.
It's a simple concept to assemble so there were no instructions, but after I got to the last connection, the 2 ends would not fit right because of the directions of the locking mechanism. Finally my hubby just had to force the two ends together. However, I had hoped it'd be easier to assemble/disassemble for storage as we live in a tiny condo. But I just leave it propped against a closet now when not in use.
